NO BORDERS TEAM: MANIFESTAZIONE CONTRO IL CENTRO DI DETENZIONE PER MIGRANTI DI LESZNOWOLA
Il 20 aprile del 2024, come movimento No Borders che opera sul confine polacco-bielorusso e su altri confini dell’UE, ci siamo riuniti a Varsavia davanti alla sede della Guardia di frontiera.
Il tempo non era a nostro favore, ma nonostante la pioggia incessante siamo riusciti a radunare quasi 100 persone che sono venute a esprimere il loro sostegno alle persone in movimento, in particolare a quelle rinchiuse nei centri di detenzione per stranieri.
Il nostro obiettivo era dimostrare che i diritti delle persone detenute contro la loro volontà nei SOC (centri di detenzione per stranieri NdT) sono sempre importanti!
Indipendentemente da chi si trova nei SOC, i diritti umani – compreso il diritto alla protezione della vita e della salute delle persone con un passato da rifugiato – vengono costantemente violati.
Da qui, ringraziamo tutte le persone che si sono unite a noi per protestare contro le politiche anti-immigrati e le detenzioni di massa in Polonia.

- Aquiloni al posto dei droni – perché prima della manifestazione abbiamo realizzato con i bambini degli aquiloni che simboleggiano i sogni dei bambini. Gli stessi aquiloni sono stati poi utilizzati durante un happening davanti al centro di Lesznowola;
- Samba RoR Wawa per i ritmi durante la manifestazione;
- FnB Warsaw per il tè freddo “Foods not Pushbacks” e FnB Katowice per i deliziosi panini;
- Zaczyn Squat e Ada Pulawska – per aver contribuito all’organizzazione;
- Spila per il supporto legale e il continuo senso di assistenza.
Durante la manifestazione abbiamo ascoltato molti discorsi, alcuni dei quali saranno pubblicati sui nostri media. È stata letta anche una lettera di una persona che ha vissuto l’esperienza dell’attraversamento del confine polacco-bielorusso e una lettera di #free_homayoun.
Dopo la manifestazione, è iniziata la seconda parte dell’evento: la carovana che ha attraversato Varsavia verso il centro di Lesznowola. Gli autobus e le auto della carovana erano decorati con striscioni con slogan come “Noi ospitiamo non imprigioniamo”, “Tavoli più lunghi invece di muri più grandi”, ecc.
La parte finale del nostro evento è stata un’azione di solidarietà vicino al SOC di Lesznowola.
Avevamo informazioni sul fatto che nel centro erano detenuti dei bambini, quindi abbiamo organizzato qualcosa pensando a loro: palloncini, maschere, musica, striscioni preparati da ragazzini polacchi, aquiloni. Tutto questo perché i detenuti minorenni potessero divertirsi per un po’.
Con nostra grande gioia, siamo riusciti a entrare in contatto con loro: i bambini si sono avvicinati alle finestre e ci hanno salutato in continuazione. Questa è l’unica forma di contatto che si può avere con i bambini in carcere. Eravamo quindi molto felici di essere lì con loro; e allo stesso tempo è stato un momento di grande dolore, causato dalla consapevolezza che i bambini stessi sono vittime di un regime di frontiera e devono trascorrere la loro infanzia in prigione. Questo è qualcosa che nessuna legge accettata dalla comunità internazionale prevede. Allo stesso tempo, viviamo in tempi in cui dobbiamo affrontare questa situazione.
Le manifestazioni di solidarietà non hanno un effetto visibile immediato per noi. Ma il loro valore non può essere sopravvalutato per coloro che sono imprigionati, che subiscono la violenza del sistema e che spesso sono soli nelle loro lotte.
Mostrare solidarietà è quindi molto importante per noi, ma non vogliamo limitarci a questo.
Per questo motivo la manifestazione di ieri era divisa in due parti: la parte di solidarietà e l’espressione di pressione politica sulle istituzioni responsabili della situazione attuale.
Non si tratta solo di una protesta, ma di una richiesta di cambiamento dell’attuale politica migratoria dell’UE.
Non ci interessa un mondo in cui un muro ci separa da chi non ha nulla. Quello che abbiamo chiesto e chiediamo è un tavolo più lungo invece di muri più alti!

NO BORDERS TEAM: DEMONSTRATION AGAINST THE LESZNOWOLA MIGRANT DETENTION CENTRE
On 20 April 24′, as a No Borders movement working on the Polish-Belarusian border as well as other EU borders, we met in Warsaw in front of the Border Guard Headquarters.
The weather was not in our favour, but despite the constant rain we managed to gather almost 100 people who came to show their support for people on the move, especially those detained in detention centres for foreigners.
Our aim was to show that the rights of people held against their will in SOCs (detention center NdT) still matter!
No matter who is in SOCs, human rights – including the right to protection of life and health of people with refugee experience – are constantly being violated.
From here, we thank all the people who came together with us to protest against anti-immigrant policies and mass detentions in Poland.

- Kites instead of drones – because before the demonstration we made kites with children, symbolising children’s dreams. The same kites were later used during a happening in front of the centre in Lesznowola;

During the demonstration itself we heard many speeches – some of which we will publish on our media. A letter from a person with experience of crossing the Polish-Belarusian border was also read out, as well as a letter from #free_homayoun.
After the rally, the second part of the event began – the caravan that drove through Warsaw towards the centre in Lesznowola. The buses and cars of the caravan were decorated with banners with slogans such as “We host not imprison”, “Longer tables instead of bigger walls”, etc.
The final part of our event was a solidarity action near the SOC in Lesznowola.
We had information that there were children imprisoned in the centre, so we prepared something with them in mind – balloons, disguises, music, banners prepared by children from Poland, kites. All this so that the underage prisoners could feel a bit of fun for a while.
To our delight, we were able to make contact with them – the children came to the windows and waved at us all the time. This is the only form of contact you can have with children in prison. So we were very happy to be there with them; and at the same time it was a moment of great pain, caused by the knowledge that the children themselves are victims of a border regime and have to spend their childhood in prison. This is something that no law accepted by the international community provides for. At the same time, we live in times when we have to face this situation.
Solidarity demonstrations do not have an immediate visible effect for us. But their value cannot be overestimated for those who are imprisoned, who experience violence from the system and who are often alone in their struggles.
Showing solidarity is therefore very important to us, but we don’t want to limit ourselves to that.
That is why yesterday’s demonstration was divided into two parts – the solidarity part and the expression of political pressure on the institutions responsible for the current situation.
This is not just a protest, it is a call for a change in the current EU migration policy.
We are not interested in a world where a wall separates us from those who have nothing. What we have been shouting and are shouting for is a longer table instead of higher walls!

NO BORDERS TEAM: DEMONSTRATION GEGEN DAS ABSCHIEBEGEFÄNGNIS IN LESZNOWOLA
Am 20. April trafen wir uns als No Borders Team, die an der polnisch-weißrussischen Grenze und an anderen EU-Grenzen arbeitet, in Warschau vor dem Hauptquartier des Grenzschutzes.
Das Wetter meinte es nicht gut mit uns, aber trotz Dauerregens konnten wir fast 100 Menschen versammeln, die gekommen waren, um ihre Unterstützung für Menschen auf der Flucht zu zeigen, insbesondere für diejenigen, die in Abschiebegefängnissen inhaftiert sind.
Unser Ziel war es zu zeigen, dass die Rechte von Menschen, die gegen ihren Willen in SOCs (detention center NdT) festgehalten werden, immer noch wichtig sind!
Unabhängig davon, wer sich in den SOCs befindet, werden die Menschenrechte – einschließlich des Rechts auf Schutz des Lebens und der Gesundheit von Menschen mit Fluchterfahrung – ständig verletzt.
Von hier aus möchten wir uns bei allen Menschen bedanken, die mit uns gegen die immigrationsfeindliche Politik und die Massenverhaftungen in Polen protestiert haben.

- Drachen statt Drohnen – denn vor der Demonstration haben wir mit Kindern Drachen gebastelt, die die Träume der Kinder symbolisierten. Die gleichen Drachen wurden später bei einem Happening vor dem Zentrum in Lesznowola eingesetzt;

- FnB Warschau für den kalten “Foods not Pushbacks” Tee und FnB Katowice für die leckeren Sandwiches;

Während der Demonstration hörten wir viele Reden, von denen wir einige in unseren Medien veröffentlichen werden. Ein Brief von einer Person, die die polnisch-weißrussische Grenze überquert hat, wurde ebenso verlesen wie ein Brief von #free_homayoun.
Nach der Kundgebung begann der zweite Teil der Veranstaltung – die Karawane, die durch Warschau zum Zentrum in Lesznowola zog. Die Busse und Autos der Karawane waren mit Transparenten geschmückt, auf denen Slogans wie “Wir nehmen auf, wir sperren nicht ein”, “Längere Tische statt größerer Mauern” usw. zu lesen waren.
Der letzte Teil unserer Veranstaltung war eine Solidaritätsaktion in der Nähe des SOC in Lesznowola.
Wir hatten Informationen, dass in diesem Zentrum Kinder inhaftiert sind, also haben wir etwas für sie vorbereitet – Luftballons, Kostüme, Musik, Transparente, die von Kindern aus Polen vorbereitet wurden, Drachen. All das, damit die minderjährigen Gefangenen für eine Weile etwas Spaß haben konnten.
Zu unserer Freude konnten wir mit ihnen in Kontakt treten – die Kinder kamen an die Fenster und winkten uns immer wieder zu. Das ist die einzige Form von Kontakt, die man mit Kindern im Gefängnis haben kann. Wir waren also sehr glücklich, bei ihnen zu sein; gleichzeitig war es ein Moment großen Schmerzes, weil wir wussten, dass diese Kinder selbst Opfer eines Grenzregimes sind und ihre Kindheit im Gefängnis verbringen müssen. Das ist etwas, was kein von der internationalen Gemeinschaft akzeptiertes Gesetz vorsieht. Gleichzeitig leben wir in einer Zeit, in der wir uns mit dieser Situation auseinandersetzen müssen.
Solidaritätsbekundungen haben für uns keine unmittelbar sichtbare Wirkung. Aber ihr Wert kann nicht hoch genug eingeschätzt werden für diejenigen, die inhaftiert sind, die Gewalt durch das System erfahren und die in ihrem Kampf oft allein sind.
Solidarität zu zeigen ist uns daher sehr wichtig, aber wir wollen uns nicht darauf beschränken.
Deshalb war die gestrige Demonstration in zwei Teile geteilt – den solidarischen Teil und den Ausdruck des politischen Drucks auf die Institutionen, die für die aktuelle Situation verantwortlich sind.
Es geht nicht nur um Protest, sondern auch um die Forderung nach einer Änderung der derzeitigen EU-Migrationspolitik.
Wir sind nicht an einer Welt interessiert, in der uns eine Mauer von denen trennt, die nichts haben. Was wir forderten und fordern, ist ein längerer Tisch statt höherer Mauern!

NO BORDERS TEAM : MANIFESTATION CONTRE LE CENTRE DE DÉTENTION DE MIGRANTS DE LESZNOWOLA
Le 20 avril 24′, en tant que mouvement No Borders travaillant sur la frontière polono-biélorusse ainsi que sur d’autres frontières de l’UE, nous nous sommes réunis à Varsovie devant le quartier général des gardes-frontières.
Le temps ne nous était pas favorable, mais malgré la pluie constante, nous avons réussi à rassembler près de 100 personnes venues manifester leur soutien aux personnes en déplacement, en particulier celles détenues dans les centres de détention pour étrangers.
Notre objectif était de montrer que les droits des personnes détenues contre leur gré dans les centres de détention pour étrangers (SOC) comptent toujours !
Peu importe qui se trouve dans les SOC, les droits de l’homme – y compris le droit à la protection de la vie et de la santé des personnes ayant l’expérience du statut de réfugié – sont constamment violés.
D’ici, nous remercions toutes les personnes qui se sont jointes à nous pour protester contre les politiques anti-immigrés et les détentions massives en Pologne.

Au cours de la manifestation elle-même, nous avons entendu de nombreux discours, dont certains seront publiés dans nos médias. Une lettre d’une personne ayant traversé la frontière polono-biélorusse a également été lue, ainsi qu’une lettre de #free_homayoun.
Après le rassemblement, la deuxième partie de l’événement a commencé – la caravane qui a traversé Varsovie en direction du centre de Lesznowola. Les bus et les voitures de la caravane étaient décorés de banderoles avec des slogans tels que “Nous accueillons, nous n’emprisonnons pas”, “Des tables plus longues au lieu de murs plus grands”, etc.
La dernière partie de notre événement était une action de solidarité près du SOC à Lesznowola.
Nous avions appris que des enfants étaient emprisonnés dans ce centre, nous avons donc préparé quelque chose en pensant à eux : des ballons, des déguisements, de la musique, des banderoles préparées par des enfants polonais, des cerfs-volants. Tout cela pour que les prisonniers mineurs puissent s’amuser un peu pendant un certain temps.
À notre grande joie, nous avons pu entrer en contact avec eux : les enfants venaient aux fenêtres et nous saluaient sans cesse. C’est la seule forme de contact que l’on peut avoir avec les enfants en prison. Nous étions donc très heureux d’être là avec eux ; et en même temps, c’était un moment de grande douleur, causée par le fait de savoir que les enfants eux-mêmes sont victimes d’un régime frontalier et doivent passer leur enfance en prison. C’est une chose qu’aucune loi acceptée par la communauté internationale ne prévoit. En même temps, nous vivons à une époque où nous devons faire face à cette situation.
Les manifestations de solidarité n’ont pas d’effet visible immédiat pour nous. Mais leur valeur ne peut être surestimée pour ceux qui sont emprisonnés, qui subissent la violence du système et qui sont souvent seuls dans leur lutte.
Montrer notre solidarité est donc très important pour nous, mais nous ne voulons pas nous limiter à cela.
C’est pourquoi la manifestation d’hier était divisée en deux parties : la partie solidarité et l’expression d’une pression politique sur les institutions responsables de la situation actuelle.
Il ne s’agit pas seulement d’une protestation, mais d’un appel à un changement de la politique migratoire actuelle de l’UE.
Nous ne voulons pas d’un monde où un mur nous sépare de ceux qui n’ont rien. Ce que nous avons réclamé et réclamons encore, c’est une table plus longue au lieu de murs plus hauts !
